Also.. a good point.. was that the question Alice and Colin asked? And not the swinger question.. does this mean the swinger question is still in the air? Hmmm… Interesting what if.
Ooh, RPG arc! Fun!
Also it’s funny that with all the stereotypes, Bev is the bard and Sarah is the barbarian. Although the barbarian would wear less clothing by default, so I can see why Sarah would gravitate toward it.
Oh My Odin! They ALSO JUST WANTED FRIENDS! They just thought they might be swingers. So they eventually aked if they were. She was ” Not judging them “for for thinking that was the possibility and being nice people about it if that was so. Since they now playing DnD it makes that conversation come across completely different.
Alice was convinced that Bev & Tara were swingers…
…but my headcanon is the question Colin & Alice asked them was: “Are you into role-playing?” I mean, they’ve already got the tabletop gaming going; it’s a short step to D&D et al.
Cool, the invitation was not a deal breaker. Always nice to see new characters. I’ve never played D&D, so I had to look up what a tiefling and githyanki are.
Tiefllings are a pretty common concept in fantasy but githyanki are admittedly a new concept to a lot of people, though they have gotten a lot more exposure recently due to BG3.
The githyanki (and soon after, the githzerai) were first published in the Dragon magazine for Dungeons and Dragons, lo, around 1980 or so. Just as antagonists. Some fan/player material converted them to playable characters, but not officially. Only recently did anything official become available for them as player characters.
The thing is, in most of the settings, the Gith are seen as more ‘higher-level encounters’ since they don’t typically hang around on the ‘prime material plane’ that most gameplay happens on, so the players would have to be plane-travelling…
I was wondering why the next page took this long. Turns out Nort was winding up to hit us with a DnD campaign. You mad lad…or lady.
Also a gith and a goblin warlock? Now that is a unique party already.
first time I ever recognized ChatGPT being used. I only know this because I am also starting a D&D campaign and asked for help with the description of the city, and it gave me almost an identical description.
No shade from me though, it is a helpful tool.

Barbarians have unarmored defense, so in terms of rules it makes sense.

Satyr
Goblin energy adventures.
At first Bev being a bard threw me off, until I realized all the times she used her rizz on Tara.
Also Sarah is definitely barbarian energy.

As a professional gym trainer, she is very good at inspiring others to push themselves beyond their comfortable limits. Very bard!
Bossboro
Sarah already thinking about murderhobohing before they even start the first quest.
that’s so point.

Tara is a goblin warlock, yeah that checks out.
Voidy
Also… Does that imply that Tarhas patron is a dog called Stephen? Or have a demondog familliar called Stephen? Hmmmm!!
