I feel vindicated in my original guess, that being here (or possibly just doing this sort of trip) is bringing up memories of her dad
…her *other* dad, to be clear. Though we shall see.
I am deeply frustrated that I cannot hug fictional people through the internet. Sometimes people need hugs!
Awww I hate it when these two are haveing a rough time… Communicate Bev!!! Dont let is fester! I’m 100% sure Tara doesn’t even realise how much this is making your anxiety ferrets squirm!!
Even if they are not actually fighting, is this the first real actual disagreement they are having? Even if Tara is not actively aware of it happening.
I don’t think it’s that. Beverly seem really pleased when looking at Tara in the first panel. And her smile to Steven don’t look forced. There’s no other place on Earth where she would like to be right now.
Some money issue perhaps ? Tara is too carefree and wouldn’t worry for that, but Beverly would be concerned if they are a bit too short after the expenses for the weeding and the honeymoon. Camping was all they could actually afford, and now there’s the fee for the cabin.
It would also match the title, giving it a second meaning in top of the movie reference.
All I can think about is how if I step outside at that time of night I will be absolutely devoured by mosquitoes. Sorry. xD
Tho’ really I was worried this was more about the trip, being sad that her wife doesn’t like something important to her, so I’m … kinda glad this isn’t that?

Interesting – going by expressions, whatever’s on Bev’s mind *doesn’t* look like it is directly due to Tara, at least.
Raanthur
Or atleast, she’s not blaming Tara for whatever is wrong.

I mean, they have been holding hands a lot.

You’re kidding, right?
Privpi
Please elaborate on how you think that would work?

very sweet that even though Bev’s dad was obviously woken up by the call, he didn’t care and just wanted to be there for his daughter

It’s the anniversary of her dad’s passing isn’t it?
Striker2054
That would explain a lot. Especially if they’re getting close to the age dad passed.

Hmmm…her dad also loved camping – maybe was the reason Bev loves it? And she’s sombre because of the timing?

Contemplating the future. A parents passing reminds you that life can be short. So maybe advice on having children?
