From what I’ve seen, there appear to be restrictions on Steven’s ability to teleport (teleborf? Teleborf.).
Specifically, someone has to say/call his name, at which time he can choose to appear near them, just out of their field of view.
He might also not be able to teleborf when someone is looking at him.
I gotta say…i am on theresas side on this one. Steven in all his glory.. but to do experiments on a little girl is not a good look. Especially if she did not like the experience.
Panel 2 Sarah seemed somewhat surprised by her ability to possibly wrestle with Teresa a person established to have super abilities. I wonder if that will setup something later? I just find the way she’s looking at her hands a bit curious.
While that does seem an interesting possibility, I interpret that part as her being surprised Teresa teleported out of her grasp. I mean, she grabbed Teresa as firmly as she could, why was she not teleported along…? (it can be easily explained, obviously, but one does get a bit bamboozled for the first few moments when that kinda stuff happens)
Not sure that it’s what her expression is supposed to carry.
She said that she don’t know her dad, while Teresa said that it’s the guy in the book. And now Tara is saying that he’s at her door… So it can perfectly come from the possibility that she will finally encounter her dad.
I asked this back in the comments of Keeping the Peace 4 but it is yet to be confirmed, or denied by the comic. Is Steven able to see across panels of the comic. Is he just aware of the parts he’s not in so long as they’re depicted?
So now that it is confirmed to others that Sarah really can understand Steven, how long before she uses that to annoy him by wrongly translating what he says?
“What’s was that about schnauzers Steven? Gosh I didn’t realize you were so racist.”
“Well you might think it makes her butt look like a Macy’s parade balloon but I think it’s fine, and Beverly seems to approve.”
“Really? To support Tara you want to forever give up meat and even delicious bones to become a vegan? So progressive!”

That’s been long established.

Hey, her telling the truth does not mean she is not being weird.

Yes. It can be two things. It can VERY EASILY be two things.

Okay I am officially slow. I just got the Witch’s shirt: Hardon University. LOL

Do you remember Tara’s pseudonym? Amanda Plowme?

So Teresa’s expression suggests her relationship with the man was not positive. Bev’s quite study time is probably about to get alot less quite

Must protect dad. Come small mom we must join giant mom and borf, borrrf and borfer in his defense.

Protect him? With how unhinged Teresa has been of late, she’s equally likely to break down and ask him why he abandoned her.

So Steven cannot teleport on his own?
Josh
Not when they are looking at him! it would destroy his plausible deniability.
Dan Lingman
Not if someone is watching him

Sounds like the Genie’s (Disney) limitations on wishes. 🙂

I am BEGGING the author sees this and makes “Teleborf” Canon

Steven is just a dog and a good boy, what do you mean

I wouldn’t worry, he’s got three bodyguards with him.

That’s gotta be Sarah’s dad. How else can she understand what Steven is saying?

I thought it was that Teresa teleported from wrestling with Sarah to behind Tara, and Sarah was looking at her hands like “where did she go?”

Teresa, we have ESTABLISHED THAT THERE ARE RULES TO BE OBEYED.
If theft is not allowed in someone else’s house, MURDER is definitely a no-no in Tara and Bev’s house!
Don’t make Bev get the rolled up newspaper.

So maybe her dad and the Dog island dad… Are siblings? IDK
