What I love is that it was so natural–she just was stating heartfelt appreciation, rather than trying to force a connection, and thus it was a thousand times more effective. Very heartwarming.
I was willing to accept it’d be exposed that he really is her Dad, buuut now I’m thinking there’s gonna be some convoluted explanation where he’s related to that but not exactly her Dad.
The only way I’d except that is if the reveal were something better. I find sometimes simple solutions can indeed be the best answer and Simon being Sarah’s dad has been set up and makes sense.

Occam’s Razor is indeed a thing, and is often true in real life.
But this isn’t real life, it’s not always quite as simple in stories.
He can still be her dad, and just not know that he have a daughter.
He was a scientist working on top secret projects. This probably don’t leave much free time, what could have decided Sarah’s mother that no father would be better for her child than an absent one.
Another possibility, since he seem to be still relatively young, Donna was his college girlfriend, but they separated when he enrolled for this secret projects right after graduation. They had goodbye sex, and when she learned that she was pregnant, he was already nowhere to be seen.
“That’s wild! I haven’t seen her in twenty five years and nine months!”
-OR-
“Wild, she was dating my brother who died twenty five years ago.”
-OR-
“Wild, she’s my half-sister.”
I realize we normally just accept such things now but it feels important to point out that whichever dog went with Bev *also* has his own chair at the table.
Okay, the Tara/Noah interaction is SO CUTE! I love that she’s trying to be more openly supportive, but he doesn’t quite know how to RESPOND to that yet. And she’s right! Like, without his help all she could do is spin her wheels, so even getting CLOSER is a huge help. Even if it didn’t go exactly as expected, it’s not the WRONG thing to do.
But I also love that Sarah is, like, speed running an existential crisis.

Soooo, Simon knew Sarahs Mum. Like the old saying “Lloyd George knew your Father”

Well yeah. One of the plot points for the last comic was that he was highly likely to be her father.

Well, at least the two about to fight SCP-087 are the scientist and the special girl.

Y’know I often forget Sarah’s full name is a couple letters off from “Squidward Tortellini”
Queju
So Tara’s instinctive knowledge of elder terrior names is exclusive to Steven, it would seem.

Really hope some of the Succubi looking like them isn’t just a coincidence. I wanna know more about SuccuBev and SuccuTara

Huh. Maybe Steven was a lucky guess?
