We haven’t seen him before he began transitioning (which happened before Tara moved out, thus her being present but checked out), so I can’t see why he would (in any way related to his being trans).
Trans Masc. What we see here is very post transition.
“Timeline Dive Ahead”
Tara was a year into her relationship with Bev before she got the shorter hairstyle (Relationship Begins #15,) which is six years long (Christmas Apart #2,) and we see her with the longer hair in the coming out panel, which puts it before that point.
From the sound of it, Tara moved out around that time, and there was a “Before Beverly” time of not getting any that is significant enough to mention, which could be a few months to a year, which means about seven years ago, or longer. Noah’s been out as trans since he was 16, at the latest, and has had both support and time to “grow into” who he is. (This all assumes a mostly linear timeline, as comics before “Tits Out Thursday #4” were all posted as large blocks. I’d need to dive into the old Twitter Feed to get a better timeline.)
Which is to say, it’s safe to assume the Noah we see is very likely to be the Ideal Noah we will see. Any changes from here are simply a matter of actual time passage.
He was probably confused by what Tara said, knowing his sister’s relationship with Beverly. it was very much a “wait, but you two…*that’s* not getting laid much?”
Now we need to see what Beverly and Sarah did on the walk. And when women’s son benches do they always sit with their legs crossed like that?I’ve never seen that in real life
So…..what? Did I completely miss that Noah is gay? Seriously? Is that why he and Sara don’t fuck? (Granted I know a couple gay dudes who have dabbled with the right woman) I just……how the fuck did I miss that
You missed Noah being “gay” because he’s asexual. They don’t have sex because that’s not what their relationship is about.
And, if the “dabbled with the right woman” they were Bi or Pan, and found a woman they were into. Attraction and sexuality aren’t binaries, they’re a spectrum. You can be Bi, but have a wide or limited range of attraction for one end of the gender spectrum or the other.
I was gonna say, Beverly being demi seems kinda odd since I remember it basically being love at first sight… but then I went back and yeah, demi makes sense. Took weeks for Beverly to fall for her.
It did take a few weeks (not sure how much time passed from the end of “Blast from the Past” to “Unexpected Realization”) but when it hit, it hit like a truck. After that, it was simply Bev actually recognizing that Tara was into women as well.
I almost hope for Tara and Noah deciding to do one last shenanigans TOGETHER against Bev and Sara. But i dont know if that would add or remove from the emotional impact..

I’m so proud of them. Looking forward to many adventures for the four (five?) of them.

Still have no idea about Noah being trans. Look has changed.

Look hasn’t changed. Damn autocorrect.

Okay I’m dense as hell, but the second panel is confusing me. What did Noah mean there?

**Before** Beverly. Which means Bev was very likely the end of a dry spell.

Golnor
How did you get that he’s gay? I’m not seeing anything.
Cobalt
Actually, he’s asexual. You can see it if you go look at the character’s bios.
Cobalt
I also doubt those guys were actually fully gay if they ‘dabbled with the right woman’.

Noah is a trans man and asexual. Not gay.

As a little brother with a seven years older sister I feel their dynamic a lot.

I really wonder how Sarah deals with her immense superhuman libido since Noah is ace.
