She never did, I believe since she’s a Tefling bard she wasn’t affected. I believe some of the creatures in the forest are also Teflings or something meaning she’s not affected. Or maybe the creatures never seen a Tefling bard in the forest so they never cared to make the spell work on them.
The NPC did say that no one should be able to resist it “in theory.”
It’s entirely possible that Bev hasn’t touched the star, and that something else is protecting her from it.
