I’ve been reading since pretty much day 1 back when this was only on twitter and the “no boobs, this comic has changed” criticism seems very strange to me in that regard. To me at least in never seemed like a nsfw type comic. It was always sort of silly comedy with occasional adult themes and over time that’s slowly pivoted to more family slice of life as Tara and Bev grow into full adults and out of their young adult dating phase. It all makes sense to me.
I also think even in a usually very lgbt friendly space like webcomics it’s still pretty rare to see gay couples just being happy and functioning in life. That’s just nice to read.
The whole point of casual nudity is that it’s CASUAL. It happens when it happens, and it doesn’t when it’s not called for. If you want to look at boobs, there are plenty of places to do so. This comic HAS boobs, but it’s not ABOUT boobs. People just get so entitled, it makes me perfectly understand why some artists have emphatic “I will NEVER draw anything NSFW” just to keep those sorts away.
