  1. *Sarah has ceased functioning.
(I love that “no thoughts” face)

mom knows they aren’t actually dating right? or I am remembering it wrong?

    1. Denial is not just a river in Egypt.

    2. I always veiwed them as platonic life mates

      1. That is basically what they are. Seems like not everyone gets the message, though.
They’re much more ‘partners in crime’ rather than ‘romantic partners’.

      2. Hasn’t the author confirmed they have a queerplatonic partnership?

      3. There is an emotional exchange going on that is romantic in a sense, just asexual. So, platonic by a given definition. I still think naked snuggling is somewhat on the sexual spectrum, personally.

        1. There is absolutely NOTHING romantic between Noah and Sarah. Sure, they’re comfortable enough to sleep naked together but they ARE just FRIENDS who happen to be real comfortable together for the fact they know exactly what one expects from the other and there is no sex or romance involved in these expectations.

I seriously don’t understand how this simple concept is so difficult to grasp and I’m not even in the ace/aro spectrum. I think…

    3. Doesn’t matter if the situationship is nonsexual, she is distinctly a girl living and sleeping with her son. That’s a girlfriend.

  2. So they both think the other is the favourite. I can’t see that going badly for anyone

  3. Which child is most likely to produce grandchildren?

    1. Steven

      1. Witch of many Jobs

That one made me laugh out loud. Good show.

    2. Good thought, one needs adoption or a sperm donor, and the other is trans i was told? XD

      1. Both pairings (Tara/Bev and Noah/Sarah) would require an external sperm donor if they wanted a child.

        1. Jonathan Boisvert

          Not counting adoption of course

        2. Adoption technically has a sperm donor and also a surrogate.
It’s just that sometimes the sperm donor and surrogate are invested, and don’t know they’re a donor and surrogate yet

        3. Who out of Tara/Beverley would be more likely to carry the child if they do decide to find a donor and sprog up?

…Though given how phenotypically similar Beverley is to her brother and the prowess of those genes as demonstrated, accepting a sample from Dan for Tara to use would seem to give a 50/50 chance to spawn a mini-Beverley.

    3. Seeing as Noah is transmasc, I don’t know if he can have progeny. Then again, there is weird magic in this world (on occasion) and medical science may not be the same as our reality, so *shrug.*

      1. Which makes it all the sweeter that she calls him her beautiful baby boy

        1. Good For Thought

That’s the best of the best.

No dead naming. No misgendering. No passive aggressive references to what used to be.

Tara’s a good egg and all, but I don’t think she realizes she hit the jackpot with her parents.

      2. I must have missed it being told that Noah is transmasc, you have any idea what approximate chapter it was?

        1. author confirmed. you can see the surgery scars whenever noah is shirtless.

        2. Oh thanks, never noticed it. Will keep my eye out now (If I don’t forget)

  4. Sarah just got hit by the MILF hug jumpscare

  5. I’m gonna take a guess that they regret selling the house and want one of them to give their home to them.

    1. that would just be evil

    2. I don’t think so…

  6. Witch of many Jobs

    Beverly with the sweet save.

  7. Ah, I see what’s going to be happening here… both Tara and Noah think the other is the favourite.

  8. Tara at least your parents aren’t divorced you live with one your sibling lives with the other and some fucking how he’s BOTH there favorites. Like yeah mom I just live with you. I really hope both my parents are making each other miserable in the afterlife

  9. So, obviously, Noah and Sarah are not a romantic couple as Nort has said countless times that “they won’t.” With that said, Sarah has really come a long way in her character development from a type of character that Iiiiiii just realized I don’t think I know how to describe without it coming off as offensive, possibly objectifying, or demeaning in some form.

  10. She’s pregnant, the world travel did it’s magic on their libido.

    1. I’d rather it be this instead of what another comment said.

    2. Yea, my money is on surprise bun in the oven. it would complement the “which is the favorite” tones that have played out so far

  11. I’m putting $100 on her mom having cancer

    1. I hope not! That’d be such a bummer, especially with the previous storyline.

    2. dont imagine it’s cancer specifically, but definitely something medical

  12. Hmmm…. Anybody ever heard of enmeshed family syndrome, and the labelling/role system that comes with it?

  13. I love Sarah’s face there lol

  14. “Well you’re MY favorite.”
That’s a the kinda dorky, cute, soft flirting I’D do.
