  1. So he’s an idiot but a sweet idiot and that’s why they he wasn’t there.

Honestly Teresa deserves a father after all this. (And to prove that he’s her dad, the second he sees Sarah’s mom IMMEDIATE BANGING! Right there)

Sarah: Oh this is what it’s like to be around me!

  2. She seems really calm right now, Simon. Don’t F* this up!

    1. I would say more exhausted than calm. She burned through most of her power after all.

  3. Her powers got sent back into the ley lines? So she’s just a person now? No more magic? I suppose given her previous state that’s probably for the best.

Also I’m enjoying all the stuff around Simon, from Sarah’s comment to Teresa basically acknowledging that whatever awfulness went down didn’t seem to be his fault

    1. Based on the continuing green glitter, it seems she has maybe SOME power, but not the reality twisting stuff, would be interesting if she was basically stage magician powerful, enough to help around, but nothing close to being a threat of any kind.

    2. My first inclination is that she’s lost the massive, reality warper stuff….
But she’s still got some tricks she can pull.
More terrifyingly, Panel 1 indicates that Sarah has GAINED some of these powers now herself.

  4. But… where’s Steven?

  5. Something feels… missing?
    Did we skip something?

    1. Jonathan Boisvert

Yea, it feel like there’s 1-2 pages missing from them going down some stairs in Haunted by the Past #6 to them just being in the house.

      1. probably a “noodle incident” trope. Something big that happened off camera and is only ever referenced by the characters, never explained fully.

        https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NoodleIncident

    2. I don’t think we skipped anything— we were in the POV of Tara and Co., and they’re walking in on the battle being over and Sarah being all like “woah, that was crazy, you two to talk things out”

Soooo either a POV switch or we DID Miss a chapter, but given how the POV has been changing since the start of this arc, I’m leaning towards “it’s a POV change and we’ll get filled in on the gaps later”

I could be totally wrong here tho

I see white fur on the ground… Where is Steven? Why is he not with them?

    1. Looks more like dust to me.

  7. Sounds like Vincent didn’t know about the last test they did on her. Probably knew that he was too protective of her to let them do it so they just didn’t tell him.

    1. …Vincent?

    2. Vincent was one of the dogs. I think he ended up with Tara when everyone got separated. The deadbeat is Simon.

  8. Huh, guess we’re not seeing that part then?

  9. I feel like we missed something.

  10. i guess this chapter maybe good if you read everything at once.
But right now the waiting game was not been rewarding at all

  11. go sarah
    slap some sense

  12. So Sarah and Teresa are half sisters?

    1. They aren’t blood related at all… they’re closer to step sisters if anything and that’s only cuz they have the same dad… in the sense that Simon is Teresa’s father figure (the closest she’ll ever have to a father) while Sarah is Simon’s biological child.

  13. Okay, Sarah just brute-forcing an extended family is absolutely brilliant.
Just seeing these two losers and adopting them like she’s a DnD player and they’re both funny goblins.
Yes, one is her actual bio dad. That has nothing to do with how she’s handling this.

  14. Sarah, slapping the magic out of a man.

  15. I’m with a bunch of other commenters; this feels outright jarring. I feel like we missed the pages of people approaching, or Simon and Sarah GETTING here. Was this cut down to meet a Halloween deadline? I can’t imagine people would have minded this story sticking out a week or two extra if it meant a more complete picture. This feels like the end of a years-long arc, and deserves that gravitas.

  16. Ngl, its kind of hard for me to get invested in either Simon or Teresa because we don’t really know them as characters aside from the loredump

  17. Witch of many Jobs

Sometimes you just gotta slap the magic people to make them talk to each other.

  18. I don’t feel like we’re missing anything, EXCEPT FOR ONE THING:
    STEVEN IS MISSING.
I suppose that, once that is resolved, we’ll see quite a bit of exposition.

  19. I like how the only supernatural characteristic that sarah actually has is that she got conceived with a ton of succubi watching and that left a mark. I am happy that she is human and not some abomination

    1. the only supernatural characteritic that has benn SHOWN so far. Tomorrow the author might decide that Sarah has the power to completely alter reality on a whim. There is no longer a rhyme or reason to any of this, sadly.

  20. What this feels like is like we are supposed to assume Sarah and Simon got the same recap info as Bevara provided to the others, but in a different way. I don’t see this having been an opportunity for Simon to say EVERYTHING that happened UP TO her conception, but rather that info was forced into their heads related to their energy connection?

They seem to vaguely be saying Sarah, Simon, and Teresa’s minds and energy for linked up in a supernatural way as the energy left her. We didn’t see anything of the sort, we’re just getting it told to us that it happened, kinda disappointing. I would’ve accepted the Simon/Sarah staredown cliffhanger from before continuing here with all of them getting green eyes and power flowing with a sudden teleport to Teresa after random flashes of images seen be each of them, followed by this page.

I hope we get some kind of flash back or basic explanation of (1) how Sarah knows the true relation between Simon and Teresa, (2) Sarah experiencing even a bit of Teresa’s energy (we didn’t see it live, will she describe it to someone privately later?), and, of course, the question we all have: Where Steven? Feels more tell and less show currently, we’ll see how this progresses?

  21. I just remembered while trying to go over this current arc in my head – Sarah still has those reincarnations / direct line of grandmothers… That we saw and weren’t brought up again. Also what if she gets Teresa’s powers now
