  1. gotta make sure the doggo is gonna be ok

  2. I really like how Teresa seems to be. She’s broken. She believed that she was betrayed and had no one else on her side. The succubus left her, she was betrayed and left alone by the research team, but she finally can come to terms with what happened, and it’s with the people who she’s trapped with these past few years.

    1. a reader among thousands

The Succubus didn’t left her, they just unionized to defend their rights, because Teresa was a bit too much on the evil side. But, even if it will be complicated because she don’t have her power anymore, technically she’s still their boss.
And, from my point of view, it’s what was implied by the line (in the previous page) saying that even Stephanie was worried; Stephanie, that we can assume as being the succubi who liked Teresa the less, still cared enough about her to worry about her safety and hope that she’s fine.

      1. I don’t wanna sound annoying or anything, but you two got it backwards… Succubus is the singular and succubi is the plural. I know, latim is weird…

  3. Witch of many Jobs

Steven still has so many secrets we don´t know.

  4. JustSomeGirlOrOther

    All’s well that Borfs well.

  5. So who do you think is the bigger threat? Bev with her muscles or Tara with her chaotic gremlin energy?

    1. JustSomeDudeOrOther

I’d put that at about even. Bev’s a bigger threat in that she’d do more damage for sure, but Tara is way more likely to attack. Like a chihuahua vs a german shepherd – if the latter decides to fight you’re in way more danger, but on balance you’re much more likely to get savaged by the chihuahua…

    2. Yes.

  6. Bev very gently warning him that if he has designs on her baby boy, there will be tears. And tearing.

  7. Uh-oh, I sense both our protagonist going to full “Mama Bear Mode”… but it shouldn’t really be neccessary. First of all, Simon’s retired after leaving with a bang (which wasn’t his fault, as has been established by now) and took care of Steven’s siblings since then, and he also let Steven and his Moms go when they visited him on the island. Secondly, he turned out to be the long-lost father of the woman who’s practically Tara’s sister-in-law (and I fully expect her and Noah to marry in the foreseeable future, by the way. After all, she’s a junior accountant, and it literally oays to be married since married couples pay less taxes).

    1. Yeah Simon seems pretty harmless
Also Noah and Sarah marrying for tax purposes makes sense. But do you think they would make a big deal of their marriage to mess with people or keep it low key to suddenly drop it into a conversation to catch people off guard?

    2. “He also let Steven and his moms go when they visited him”. While this is true, but you have to remember when he “let them go” before it just seemed he was just a normal do, abeit one that acts kinda strangely and seems kinda smart.

Now it is more evident to everyone that things are up with him that are not things that show in his siblings. And then there is also the revelation that he was once part of an agency that investigated paranormal stuff. Sure he might have burned bridges and seemingly left on bad terms, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t still interested in the stuff and/or still has connections to someone who may still be involved with the stuff/still part of the agency. Thus I still say Mama Bear Mode is still appropriate for now. Even if he “seems harmless” right now.

You also have to take into account the fact he holed himself on a remote island and still expresses intrest into the dogs.

  8. Weird question: Why does everybody have a second name? Looking at the characters page…

  9. Tequila Mockingbird

As if anyone could stop Steven the Eldritch Good Boy. He’s going home with his mamas and that’s that.

  10. Ngl, Im still not really sure about how Simon is the absolute worst, since we didn’t really see much of him and we’re only really told that he’s terrible through narration without much shown

    1. In Tersea’s view, with what she knew of the situation at the time until now she thought he was the one that told them to do the experiement that made her go into rage mode and/or to explode the facility with her in it. But now that she knows the full story she no longer thinks that.

Also there is the whole thing that he was part of a shady secret organization that was willing to go to such extents left unchecked. Even if he was stopping them from going too far before, he was the one she associated with being in charge of her.

    2. He’s not the absolute worst, he was just an irresponsible idiot when he was younger, there were some misunderstandings that’s been cleared up now, and Sarah doesn’t hold his absence in her life against him

Simon’s a flawed guy, but so is every human on earth

      1. A bit weird to introduce the problem just to resolve it next chapter then. Like, there’s nothing of value in that story if its just “Oh yeah, I thought he sucks but apparently he doesn’t.”

  11. I really dont care about simon lmao
    lets kill him

  12. It’s possible Simon was worried that Sarah would have gotten collected as a baby for The Project as well. He might have assumed that if his ex-GF had in fact gotten pregnant, any attempt on his part to reach out might have tipped off the government to the existence of another Ley Line Baby, and therefore they were best left alone.

    1. No, it’s not possible cuz the story literally tells us that neither parent even considered the possibility of pregnancy. He didn’t know of her existence. Simon is an irresponsible idiot, the story literally tells us that much lol

If any of that were true, he’d have explained it ASAP when they first met

  13. Anyone else feel like these story beats are just kind of flying by? Like, maybe it’s just me but, it feels like these arcs have been like 6-10 pages at best.

  14. Oh god, they’re walking towards him menacingly. Just need the fedoras, the pinstripe suits and start snapping

  15. Can we go back to the interesting canon stuff instead of whatever the shit this is ? It’s been going on long enough.

  16. What is that on the floor in the back on panel 3?

    1. Pretty sure it’s a broken flower pot of some form – I believe it shows up in an intact form in the flashbacks to when the hotel wasn’t partially ruined.
