  1. Witch of many Jobs

That last panel is way too ominous.

  2. Not just a dog. A good dog.

  3. Yes, just a dog nothing else,

  4. “Just a dog.” Exactly what Steven wants everyone to believe.

  5. Simon is smart enough to know what’s good for him

  6. Those Eldritch Terrier eyes and the way they’re on the same side of the head. I may be floundering, but something is out of plaice. Not just saying it for the halibut. Maybe I need a peppa talk

    1. the eyes are on the head, 2 eyes is normal, so there are 2 eyes on the head. not even a thing to notice.

  7. Why are we staring into the abyss?

  8. JustSomeGirlOrOther

    Borf!!!

  9. Steven’s eyes are glowing right? I wonder if he took some of the ley-line energy..

  10. I just noticed that Steven’s eyes are brighter than the other dogs…

    1. Yeah I noticed that too. I think Steven somehow connects directly to the Void.

  11. This seems like the ending of Steve’s back story. Can’t wait to see what the next story is going to be

  12. I disliked this arc. It was all about Teresa, but she pretty much had no role in it. It just removed potential, robbed agency and made her a sad sap. Its such a waste.

    1. On top of that i dislike the Deus Ex Machina role Steven has taken on, it is warping the story around itself. I hope we get a couple arcs without him now.

      1. have to agree on both counts

      2. Honestly theres a lot of potential if Nort stopped making Steven such a focus just because he’s goofy looking and “a good boy”. It takes away a lot of story chances just to have him solve everything immediately.

    2. I slightly disagree on one point. I don’t think this removes Teresa’s potential. I think it unlocks it. Before this arc Teresa was semi incongruous with the more mundane slice of life tone of the comic. She only showed up once a year when the annual spooky times made magic more acceptable and she literally didn’t have a name. She was just called witch. Now that she’s been nerfed we can see her more and she has more story potential without completely morphing the comic into a magical girl anime. Unless you were into that, then yeah this might suck for now but I have hope and trust Nort’s storytelling.

      1. To be honest, i’m never going to be onboard with the “oh no we have to remove the parts of the character that make them not normal so they can fit in” is never going to be a narrative I’m going to be comfortable with or find enjoyable.

The fact that she was adopted by an unethical government agency to run unethical experiments on her because she has superpowers and the resolution was “she pretty much loses her powers and her parental figure was really only on board with SOME of the unethical experimentation but she’s normal now so everything’s okay and since the parental figure wasn’t on board with ALL the experiments they don’t get blame” is a resolution that, honestly, I find pretty disgusting.

    3. Agreed

    4. Yeah, I didn’t hate it but it felt pretty rushed? Guess because of the halloween timing they just wanted to get the next bit of Succubus Leader Lore vomited out all at once. It’s fine though, this isn’t really a… long plot line kinda comic in general, so might be for the best to just wrap it up and move on.

  13. Just a dog. Just a god. Either/or. Borf.

  14. Has anyone else noticed that Eldritch Terrier sounds like Eldritch Terror or am I just slow?

    1. It’s possible that in this instance you might be a little slow or I’m uncharacteristicly fast, but regardless you got there in the end and that is what matters

      1. jerk

        1. Being a jerk was not my intent, autism sometimes screws with social stuff, so could you let me know how I was being a jerk so I can do better in the future please

  15. “As far as I’m concerned, Steven is just a dog”

A dog with supernatural abilities, yah? A smort doggo, yep yep

  16. Based on the fact that Steven has fully white eyes compared to the other Elder Terriers, he probably has some connection to the void.

  17. Steven is just a good boy and the best boy. I’ll cut anyone who doesn’t agree.

  18. Ok i gotta ask now that this storyline is wrapped up. The name is tagged under all these stories but …..Who is Audrey? I cant figure that out for the life of me

    1. There’s four doggos: Steven (obviously), then Vincent (the one who accompanied Bev when she went searching the void for Tara), Jerry (the blue collared one with the uh terrier fringe?), and thus Audrey’s the fourth one with the pinkish collar. Presumably Steven’s sister 🙂

  19. but we know that he is not just that, right?

    1. His Final Form is a Hound of Tindalos

  20. “My mommies said I get treats. So wrap it up, Exposition Man!”

  21. FORESHADOWING IS A LITERARY DEVICE-

  22. a reader among thousands

I really like how Steven’s eyes are all white, while his sibling eyes are light grey. It really put the emphasis on what he is actually doing to Simon.

Why did I wrote this? Steven is just a dog… Just. A. Dog…

  23. Weird how Bevara was wearing a light gray outfit with red accents and has white eyes. Coincidence I’m sure.

  24. Steven is Bevara aka The Void in physical form

    1. Steven inhabits the Angles of Time while regular beings inhabit the curves. Pray you never encounter him when he is lean and athirst

  25. Doctor Who theme but it’s dogs barking, intensifies.

  26. Like fuck he is

  27. Calling it now, this eye zoom means Steven is about to pull Simon into the void for a chat.

  28. Steven is not just a dog. There’s lore here we’re going to learn in a future arc. Isn’t there.

  29. I wonder if the power passing through srah will also affect her, will she gain some power herself? or did she maybe lose her ability to understand the borf minister

  30. Yeah, we now know about Sarah and Teresa, but “why is Steven” still remain a mystery.
