I actually think we may have the answer already, or at least we’ve been giving some hints. It’s been mentioned by Teresa she can’t sense Simon because he’s been exposed to so much of her energy. If he’s truly Sarah’s dad perhaps that exposure to her powers had some adverse effects on his genetics that then passed over to Sarah when she was born. Kinda like how over exposure to radiation can damage sperm cells, but with magic energy. So Simon was around Teresa all the time for assumedly years, he went out and had a one night stand with Sarah’s mom, now Sarah has some magic energy power stuff going on.
Or maybe it’s something else. This is just a theory.
Guess that answers the question last time around about whether it still works and whether the rewards program was still up.
And hey, I’m sure the succubi will give them another if they ask. After all, they’re the ones who were benefiting from all the sexual energy they were getting from the devices.
I mean, they are almost definitely violating terms of service here, so the succubi probably aren’t on the hook for a replacement. But I’d also guess they might do it anyway if informed of the circumstances; demons are nicer than lawyers, far as I can tell.
The thing is, due to the energy that the succubi get from it, they’d likely be better off giving them a replacement. I doubt Noah and Sarah got a replacement though, since they don’t have sex.

I love all the action going on in the foreground, but I may be reading into it a bit, but the interaction going on in background, between Sarah and Simon, should also be noted. It could be a continuation of the previous action going on, but it seems more like Sarah is sizing him up and scrutinizing him, and he is very aware of it. Again, I may be reading into it, but Nort does have that tendency to add little things in the back sometimes.
i love how this series about quirky lesbians has so totally embraced its supernatural side that none of the cast bats an eye anymore…..nor we readers, for that matter
