  1. OK, they get to keep Steve.I was a little worried that they would not get to keep Him

  2. Yet we still have so many questions. Yet wait till that guy meets Sarah. He’s going to have more questions.

    1. a reader among thousands

But we can possibly have an answer. If Sarah can’t understand what they are saying, then Steven is unique.

  3. That can’t be the end. So many questions yet. We need more of this good boys/girl.

  4. Why is Bev so snarky with this guy?

    1. She probably figures he is withholding info and doesn’t like it.

  5. Kerry Blanchard Jr.

Boaty Floaty? Didn’t they have a recall a couple years back because the flotation material was not up to code?

  6. A mystery is still a mystery

  7. Hmm…I have to say, I’m a little disappointed by this story line. It doesn’t answer the questions; why can Sarah understand Steven, how is it that Steven can read, why does he apparently have advanced intelligence, and what the heck is an elder terrier and why are they called that?

    1. There’s still room for development.

    2. I have a theory for why Sarah can understand him. The witch and the succubi can understand him as well. My theory is that Sarah is part succubus, and that’s why she can understand him too. As for why the witch and the succubi can understand him, that’s still a mystery, though I’m sure magic is involved.

      1. Sarah having succubus blood in her would absolutely make sense, the Witch seemed to recognize her for some reason.
Maybe Sarah herself isn’t involving herself in the supernatural (beyond what we’ve seen, at least), but perhaps one of her parents or grandparents did…

      2. Well, she does have those jagged teeth – which we’ve only seen on the succubi.

    3. No explanation for why Sarah can understand Steven, but…
Advanced intelligence appears to be a general trait of elder terriers, which are this breed created by a secret military program. Him being able to read suggests that he’s a success above and beyond the others.
I doubt we’ll get an explanation beyond that.

    4. I’m waiting for what we see happen after Bev and Tara leave. Like, the other three start speaking or something.

  8. Heh, boaty floarty

  9. Can’t see the collar in the last panel! Are we SURE it’s Steven that’s going back with them?!

  10. Seemed like the two girls just seemed rude this time around. Sarah telling the guy he’s not taking back Steven right away even though he didn’t say a word about it. The dude was just happy to see him again. Then you have Beverly being snarky with him a few times and even now. If it were me I would have called them out on that.

  11. Calling it now… that is going to turn out to be Ms. Connor’s grandfather, with it turning out that the fog took them to the past. Or took him to the past.

  12. Witch of many Jobs

I am just waiting for them to turn around and the island is suddenly gone.

  13. He’s just a dog in the world…that’s all that they’ll let him beeeee…

  14. >helicopter in 10 minutes

    A monthly supply drop by a local fisherman would be reasonable for a retiree with a bunch of dogs. But which TLA does he have on call to supply an exfiltration on short notice? Might that chopper be equipped with stealth tech, perhaps painted black :}

  15. Empress of the Decepticons

The life jacket brand is called “boaty floaty”. That’s freaking awesome.

  16. They’re gonna look back and that island ain’t gonna be there no more >)
