Was he Noah’s great grandpa? Did Noah ever met him post-transition? Because that would explain why the old man didn’t recognize him at least. Or is he just someone entirely unrelated?
He could have just died before his great-grandchildrens were born. And his childrens or grandchildren weren’t living in the house, so he never saw Tara or Noah even as a ghost.
Even with modern life expectancy, not everyon life long enough to meet their great-grandchildrens.
Or it could be an other, earlier ancestor of Noah and Tara.
