I was wondering why Sarah’s jacket looks weirdly tight/snug. Is she wearing some kind of belt around her stomach to make it look that way? Interesting fashion choice, if so.
That white stripe is a cinch of some sort. I’ve had coats with drawstrings at the waistline (which were FANTASTIC for keeping the wind from blowing up my torso and I have HATED every coat I’ve ever owned that LACKED said feature), but that’s a whole another accessory.
She has fair reason to be icy at first. She’s not being outright hostile, just making it clear that she’s not going to go easy on him. That’s actually fair given the circumstances, and Simon seems to agree.

And I think she’s being a little hostile, although passively.
