I even checked back. We last see Steven when Tara is walking with Penny over to where Dan and Noah are, so it’s ambiguous whether he went in with Tara or stayed with Penny (and more specifically, Marcus).
He did 100% teleport, though.
Also, it’s so nice to see characters just be like, emotionally mature, ya know? They have problems, hangups, disagreements, but eventually they talk it out and let understanding take over, rather than the “let it fester into resentment for the sake of drama” stuff you always see in fiction. Between this and “Wayne Family Adventures,” I think my favorite fantasy genre is people who know how to be open 😛

Either he was communicating with the ghosts from a rip in the fabric of space-time and had a “I must go my people need me” moment so the ghosts just transported him to this room, or…more likely he just followed Tara here and she didn’t notice him until now because she was too laser-focused on Bev.
Let’s just take a moment to appreciate how comforting Tara is being. She knows Beverly is freaking out, so she’s being as calm and comforting to her as possible. She knows how rough family stuff is for Bev, so she is relaxed, loving and understanding to and for her. Because that is what her love needs. So she gives what her love needs.
Steven could have stayed outside with Penny and Marcus, then went back to Bev while Tara was with Noah and Sarah.
I’ve seen normal dogs being surprisingly discreet until you call them and you realize they were here the whole time laying in the corner.
Or he could have gotten here just now.
