  1. Ahhh one of tbose dreams. Lol 😆 would have kept to myself, especially if I was going to see those people

  2. Different worlds, every last one of ’em.

  3. Dan is an idiot

    1. Why? My wife doesn’t get mad when I tell her my spicy dreams that don’t involve her, same goes for me when she has one. It’s a dream, you don’t control them (most of the times). It’s weird getting mad about it?

      1. Right?!? It’s the imagination running wild when we’re unconscious. Sure, I can get the point not *everyone* is interested in hearing this sorta thing… But getting *mad* about it…? That doesn’t make any sense.

      2. She said she wasn’t mad at all about it, just…weirded out. Like info she didn’t need to be privy to, ESPECIALLY when they were going to hang out with said people later that very same day. Everyone’s assuming she’s mad when she’s clearly just giving him shit for a bit of awkward oversharing. And ye, some people are fine with their partners sharing naughty dreams, others less so. Communication is my eternal cheerleading cry, but that also includes knowing what your partner/friend/coworker/whathaveyou would rather NOT know or learn about. We should still respect boundaries!

    2. Damn, Dan… The worst part is that that is exactly the kind of mistake I’d make… It’s not on purpose, we just lack filters.

  4. Lmao! So that’s what Dan did! Got to keep those dreams to himself. Hopefully things get better for him.

  5. This is… such a nonsensical thing to get this moody about, it says more about Penny being insecure and creating a lack of trust in Dan for basically no reason. And she even states it doesn’t bother her, she just wants him to feel miserable for sharing. Wow. Kinda impressed.

    1. See it from her perspective. He implies it’s hot to fantasize about his sister-in-law and his sister-in-law’s brother’s roommate. Right before spending a weekend with these exact people. Penny might find that overstepping her boundaries or even worse, she might suspect he really wants to sleep with these people. Would you just brush that away?

  6. Poor Dan… he thought that being honest with his wife about it would be the best thing to do.

    1. There’s a difference between “honesty” and TMI. If he woke up with the mother of all boners and she asked why and he told her, that’s honesty. If he woke up horny then told his wife about the dream he had about her ex-roommate and that roommate’s good friend, both of whom they are going to hanging out with all week, it’s at best TMI, and at worst might sound like a he’s sounding her out on the idea of a three-way.

      1. Men usually wake up with boners, it’s biology. No sex dreams required. He wouldn’t have to say anything.

  7. I honestly thought Dan was smarter than that. Points for honesty though. You gotta be truly down bad to tell your wife about your sex dreams without flinching. Also just find it super funny that this comic mostly deals with relationship dynamics but also ghosts and demons just totally exist!

  8. a reader among thousands

Will we all act as if the haunted house where Sarah’s cavewoman ancestor live is not at short walking distance?

  9. Being honest means tellingnthe truth, yes. But it doesn’t mean you have to share everything in your mind. It reminds me of the truth serum trope; they alway blab everything, but is one of the effects of the serum compelling you to talk? You could just not say anything. Dunno, it has been bugging me for a while and this reminded me of that.
Would be cool to see a recreation of his dream ngl lol.

  10. Dan clearly doesn’t think much of it if he told his wife about the dream. To be fair, dreams are mostly just your brain processing the information from the day.
I wonder where this B plot of the haunted house will go.

  11. Well, at least it’s fairly obvious at least why those people were on Dan’s mind.
And good of Dan to go along with Noah’s ghost thing, he seems like a good sport. I guess his personality was put down as ‘pretty chill’.

  12. Knowing what happened ad’s some real interesting context to some of the last few pages, “I wouldn’t even dream of it.” Being the most obvious example. But his sudden look of terror of his wife going to talk to his sister in law who he admitted to having a sexy dream about was pretty good too.

Also love Dan and Noah, the subjects of the other conversations, just wandering off to talk about ghosts

  13. Blorbo Lore Bringer

What’s unacceptable to one person would make another super uncomfortable, I get it. My gf and I excitedly talk about fantasies and dreams with other people, but we’re more open so it doesn’t matter. Maybe Dan has made his wife feel insecure

  14. Never understood the whole “mad at partner for erotic dreams” thing. When erotic dreams about other people happen me and my wife go “where’s t̶i̶s̶s̶u̶e̶s̶ my popcorn, I want all the details” at eachother.

  15. Dan you sweet summer child. There somethings you take to the grave.

  16. That look on Tara’s face tho’.

Boy is Dan’s sister gonna get an earful.

    1. I assume Tara takes it as a compliment that she was in someone’s sexy dreams.

But if Beverly were in it, we’d need to seriously start discussing therapy.

  17. Man’s an idiot and he’ll probably get posessed at some point

  18. Man, am I the only person who thinks that it’s kinda reasonable to Dan to feel weird about the dream and open up to his wife about it? Like can he not be vulnerable and honest with his wife?? LMAO I feel like I empathize with him here, but maybe I’m just as dumb as him in the end, idk hahaha

  19. Witch of many Jobs

Not a horrible thing to do but yeah, definitely way to make it awkward.

  20. Ya know, my ex wife always wanted 100% honesty. Then she’d hit me with a bunch of hateful replies. So I stopped being 100% honest. Then she hated me for that too.

    Guess that’s why she’s the ex…

  21. I love how the first three panels are serious relationship talks, then the last just changes gear completely and dives into the ghost story. I wonder if we’ll see the old man and the cavewoman again?

  22. Wait, but that’s actually adorable. The first thing this man did after waking up, after having a sexy fun adult dream about two of the pretty girls coming to hang out later that same day, was turn to his wife, mother of his child, and excitedly share the details. He didn’t get weird about having a sexual dream involving his twin sister’s wife, he just turned to his wife cause he wanted to talk about it, and he trusted her implicitly.

  23. My nesting partner and I are non-monogamous so no worries about telling each other about spicy dreams with other people.
Now, if it includes people we’re about to meet in person, that might be another story just to prevent awkwardness.

  24. Yeah I’d be wayyyyy more upset if I found out my brother in law had an orgie dream of my wife and I… Please run off a cliff sir

  25. Seeing this one reminded me of a reply I never made to an older comic (“Christmas Magic #1” aka Dan’s and Penny’s wedding). That other comic had Dan asking Beverly if she and Tara were planning to have children, and Beverly answered “You know, try as I might, I just can’t seem to get her pregnant.” Back then I wanted to post that, while Tara and Beverly couldn’t conceive a child for obvious reasons, there was a man sharing Beverly’s genes, who had just proved his fertility and might serve as surrogate father – and unlike Beverly, Tara does swing both ways, so they could even do it the classic way. In the end, I never got around to posting that, and nobody else did as far as I know.

But seeing now that Dan’s having sexy dreams about his sister-in-law (as well as her trans brother’s sexy partner) makes me think…. [ominous music – or romantic, whichever you prefer]

    1. But then Tara would just spend nine months making another clone of Dan. 🙂

      1. That’s true, but maybe she’d have a girl, which would be a clone of Beverly… in which case both would probably be thrilled… 😉

  26. That’s really a bitchy move by Penny. She should keep something like that between herself and her husband who thought he was just being open and honest. Stupid move on his part, but intentionally hurtful on hers.

  27. That’s really a nasty move by Penny. She should keep something like that between herself and her husband who thought he was just being open and honest. Stupid move on his part, but intentionally hurtful on hers.

  28. Hanson, I’d go with something a bit more sterile like a cup, but being nonsexual that sort of thing being a way to tie stuff up neatly has always seemed to make sense. I think people have a lot of hangups on that though that never made much sense to me.

  29. On the one hand, it’s good that he felt open enough to share with his wife. Communication in a relationship is important.

On the other hand, BATMAN IN GUANTANAMO COULD NOT HAVE GOTTEN THAT OUT OF ME.

  30. Meanwhile happily bi Tara now has a image of the penile equiv of her Goddess wife whether she wants it or not.

  31. Damnnnn that’s awkward. I’m really excited to see how Tara reacts to this. The very similar looking older brother of your wife had a sex dream about you? That’s an image you can’t get out of your head, no matter how much you don’t want it lmao

  32. The girls: let’s have some serious and deep conversation.
The boys: let’s seek out spooky shit!

    1. I believe “seeking out spooky shit” together works better for them than “serious and deep conversation.* Just imagine it:
Noah: Now that we’re alone, bro… say, why was your girl so mad at you?
Dan: Well… I had an erotic dream and told her about it, and she didn’t take it well.
Noah (laughing): That’s hilarious, because my girl would probably be thrilled if I told her about an erotic dream of mine. Or if I even had erotic dreams to begin with…
Dan (fidgeting): Well, the problem was the content of said dream…
Noah (suave): Hey, it’s okay, buddy. I’m sure whatever you and Penny did with each other in your dream, it was all an expression of your love, right?
Dan (pained): The problem is that she wasn’t in it. Instead I was doing… your sister, and (quiet voice) also your girlfriend, kind of…
Noah (shocked): You know, male honour strongly demands I slug you now. But you’re twice my size, and I wasn’t actually male to begin with, so… let’s talk about something else, like… ghosts. Yeah, let’s talk about ghosts!
Dan: Oh yeah, great idea! Ghosts… that’s a fascinating topic, isn’t it? (both off, curtain).

  33. I love how all the men here are “Penny is such a bitch! Why is she so insecure about her husband having the hots for two other women right before spending time with these exact women for a whole weekend?” Way to miss the point.
