So Dan is starting the one of the Buddy stage of raising a child with a wife i have 2 friends that does it and they refuse to talk with the wife/gf about it since they say we are just busy with the child…. But Penny is at least stubborn enough to tell Dan the problem
It’s not his fault his subconscious decided to do that. It is his fault that he got her kinda worked up and didn’t finish the job. She’s mad about the right thing, in my opinion.
I think people have this wrong idea that dreams are literal, dreams are a mixture of memories, some of what you “want” is probably there in the middle of many other memories, so maybe he was sexually frustrated and the result was a mixture of memories of his friends with his desires, it doesn’t mean he wants to have sex with Sarah and Tara.

And while most of the comments seem to focus on “ah, she was horny, then”, let’s not look away from the VERY real criticism at the heart of what she’s saying: talk to me like I’m your wife, not like I’m “one of your buddies”, because that’s a COMPLETELY different level of intimacy and openness.

Remember a few strips ago where people were acting like Dan was an awful person and ‘one of *those* guys’ and it turns out his wife was just kind of horny and thats it?
I think it’s kind of telling how some people will immediately assume the worst of a straight male character like that.
Yh fax, the double standard some ppl have is a little sad. I remember seeing that same comment and thinking, “Wait, are we sure we’re not jumping the gun here?”
Remember yall, its important that you make your partner feel desired. Its easy to get comfortable and to overlook stuff like this, but you have to show up to the relationship everyday you can. You have to make sure your partner is blessed to have you, and vice versa. Some days will be harder, and some days you might need to put in more work, but if you give it your honest effort, you will be surprised what you get in return.
Am I crazy or would telling your wife about a sex dream involving close female friends then immediately transitioning to I want to have sex be the exact opposite of what you should do? How is that not going to be taken poorly?
Just checked with my wife. She agrees that’s a terrible idea. Just going to make her feel like she’s a surrogate for the characters in/continuation of the dream.
